There is a breathing technique that can lead to better overall well being. It is called the four, seven, eight method. When you breath in for four seconds, hold it for seven, and release it for eight, this is said to reduce anxiety in the body and help you get to sleep. Some even say it can put you to sleep in one minute. It is also good for reducing anger reactions, and staving off cravings. There is a shorter method if you can’t hold your breath that long that has you breath in through the nose for two seconds, hold it for three and release it for four.
